About

Structural Physiology & Movement Integration

Introducing SPMI Bodywork to the Southern Utah area, this unique style of bodywork has bridged the gap between  ancient techniques and modern modalities. Our mission is to facilitate freedom within the human body, we focus on breaking up scar tissue and calcification. Aligning ligaments, tendons and muscles. Decreasing  pressure around the organs to promote proper function. Awareness of the body as a whole is important in understanding  that everything is connected and that movement is a key component is opening up the system as unit. The body is a communication device and it lets us know when we are out of alignment so we can correct it, we learn to ask the body what it needs and fallow the pathways initiated by neurological response.  All ages, all walks of life our goal is to help you improve your movement, overcome inquiries and feel good in your body.   Our clients do stay clothed as movement in incorporated in the therapy, we ask you to where something you can move easily in. we work on both pre and post-op injuries as well as general wellness.

Discover the freedom within your body today!

Fifth Milestone

ENJOY BEING IN YOUR BODY!

Forth Milestone

REST: It take about 2 hours for you equilibrium to rebalance and it takes 12-24 hours for neurological re-education to occur, during this period your body detoxes toxins, that were released during the process of reducing scar tissue and calcification, and your brain recalibrates the body alignment. This is very important to allow for this process, as an example if you are a runner please walk just for the 24hour period and then resume normal activity.

Third Milestone

Manually reducing organ pressure primarily refers to Visceral Manipulation, a gentle manual therapy that releases restrictions in the connective tissues (fascia) surrounding internal organs. In a critical care context, manual decompression can also refer to non-surgical physical techniques used to lower life-threatening intra-abdominal hypertension.

Second Milestone

Aligning ligaments, tendons, and muscles helps improve joint stability, increase range of motion, reduce pain and tension, and support more efficient, balanced movement throughout the body.

First Milestone

Reducing scar tissue and calcification in the human body can improve mobility, decrease pain, support healthier circulation, and enhance the body’s natural detox processes.

Clinical imagery demonstrates how reduced calcification restores optimal physical function to the tendon.

I was told by an orthopedic surgeon that I needed surgery to remove calcification in the tendon on my left hip. The tendon would have to be cut, then reattached to the hip. I would not be able to put any weight on my leg for 6-8 weeks. So, I would be in a wheel chair. I was also told that it would take 8 months for the aching in my hip to subside.

A friend recommended that I go see Desirae. After only a few treatments, the pain in my hip was gone. I had been suffering for months.

I then went back to that doctor and got a new X-ray. The improvement was dramatic. He told me that most of the calcification was gone. Only a shadow remained. I did not need the surgery. He recommended that I get a couple of more treatments to clear up the remaining calcification.

I am so grateful that I was able to avoid that difficult surgery. Desirae is a miracle worker.   ~Laurie
